Pragma Redact performs personal-information detection and anonymization of your text, PDFs, and images locally in your browser. The content you load — and any data it contains — is never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party.

The detection model is downloaded (usually) once from a public model host and cached in your browser; after that, processing happens entirely on your device.

We use Google Analytics to understand anonymous, aggregate usage of the website — such as page views and general traffic — so we can improve this tool. Google Analytics may set cookies and process technical data such as your approximate location, the device used, and browser.

Analytics only ever measures how the website is used. It NEVER has access to the contents of the documents, text, or images you process with the tool.

Besides analytics cookies, Pragma Redact uses your browser's local storage to remember preferences such as your chosen language or model parameters. That information stays on your device. See the Cookie Settings page for details.
